O SARDONIC surgiu em meados de 1993 em Teresópolis - RJ, com o objetivo de fazer um som assumidamente diferente tendo como características o peso e a brutalidade, expondo em letras uma visão realista e caótica, expressando sentimentos de agonia, medo, dor e sofrimento.
Em 1994 o SARDONIC lança a sua primeira demo tape intitulada "Ilusions of Life" trazendo em seu som uma mistura do trash com o crossover.
tendo uma ótima aceitação com a sua 1ª demo, a banda realiza vários shows por toda a capital e cidades vizinhas dividindo o palco com as bandas Under Pressure, Necromanicide, Evil Motor e outras.
Nos shows o SARDONIC bombardeia a audição de todos, marcando presença entre o publico underground que os prestigia.Em 1999 sentindo a necessidade de se tocar um som mais brutal e pesado a banda resolve mudar sua formação e coloca mais uma guitarra para dar mais técnica e peso ao som. Com isso a banda resolve mudar o seu estilo para o death metal abordando em suas letras novos temas obscuros e sobrenaturais que induzem a uma reflexão sobre as origens do ser humano.
A nova proposta da banda é fazer um death metal rápido, pesado e mantendo a brutalidade, com influencias de Slayer a Napalm Death.
